One Yard of a Garden

In 2011, Healthy Living Inc. entered into a partnership with Groundwork Anacostia River DC, One Yard of A Garden program.

Once a month starting in May 2011, residents of the Mayfair Community met with Juliette for a cooking class on seasonal produce. From May to November- culminating with a harvest celebration party - participants learned how to cook a variety of fresh produce including fennel, okra, squashes, mushroom. Juliette also taught a special class on whole grains and plant-based proteins.

The program will resume in Spring 2012.
