Macrobiotic Healing Essentials

Based on traditional practices, commonsense ecological principles and ancient wisdom, macrobiotics is a comprehensive approach emphasizing whole nutrition and a holistic understanding of life.

This program will cover the principles and practices central to the macrobiotic approach to health. We will explain how to bring greater harmony and health into our life through the most fundamental of daily activities - how to choose, prepare and consume the food we eat each day. We will offer practical advice on selecting foods for optimum health, harmonizing our energy with the cycles of nature, developing good eating habits, cooking for health, and more. Topics covered include:

  • The Principles of Balance and Harmony
  • Energy of Food
  • Diet and Biological Development
  • Selecting and Preparing Food for Superior Health
  • How to Eat for Optimum Energy and Satisfaction
François Roland a native of Geneva, Switzerland, studied macrobiotics at the Kushi Institute of Boston. While in Boston, He worked as an assistant in a holistic medical office and as a macrobiotic counseling assistant at the office of Michio Kushi. He also owned and operated a natural foods restaurant for four years. He lives in Cleveland, Ohio, where he does macrobiotic counseling and teaches macrobiotic cooking, Oriental diagnosis and other topics. Francois has over thirty years of experience in his field of work.

Cost: $115 early bird until April 10; $130 after.
